Mike qualified as a solicitor in 2016 after two years training at the firm.

Mike works in the Dispute Resolution and Family Department and specialises in various aspects of family law, including divorce, matrimonial finance and child arrangement matters including the rights of grandparents in children proceedings.   Mike can also assist with property litigation matters including notices to quit, possession orders and landlord and tenant disputes.

Mike is an Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and member of the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) and can mediate a wide range of matters including Property (landlord and tenant, boundary, TOLATA), Private Client (contentious probate, Inheritance Act), and Civil disputes.

Before joining the firm, Mike read Social and Cultural Studies at the University of Nottingham and completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of West London and Legal Practice Course at BPP in London. He completed his training with the firm, and qualified as a solicitor in March 2016.

Mike is a member of Resolution, which commits Family Lawyers to seek to resolve disputes in a non-confrontational way. Mike is also a member of the Only Mum’s and Dad’s Family Law Panel.

When not working Michael enjoys spending time with his young family, cycling and watching live music and sport.

Recent Work

  • Acting for clients in complex matrimonial financial remedy proceedings involving the division of assets such as the former matrimonial home, pensions and business interests;

  • Successfully obtaining possession of client’s rental properties following issues such as the tenant’s anti-social behaviour and non-payment of rent.
